The crisis within the local Vox group in Silla has led to the resignation of the working team and the departure of several members. The resigning individuals, including Ángel Gallardo and Eva Padilla, have publicly announced their decision, attributing it to an "authoritarian drift" that, they claim, is supported by the provincial structure of Vox Valencia.
Municipal sources indicate that the relationship with the current councilor and spokesperson for Vox in the Silla City Council had become strained in recent years, becoming "unsustainable" for some members. These disagreements have prompted a significant number of members to leave the party.
“"The decision was not easy, and until the last moment we tried to redirect the internal situation within the party. However, Vox in Silla has devolved into acting in an authoritarian manner, far removed from the principles it claimed to defend and completely disconnected from the real needs of the town."
The members allege that within the group, "personal interests, individual ambitions, and patronage networks have been prioritized over the common good," criticizing that "seats and internal structures" have taken precedence over addressing the needs of the municipality's residents.
The statement also highlights as particularly serious the retention of individuals "questioned from within the party itself," who were reportedly even internally labeled as "useless," without allowing for alternatives or addressing citizen demands. The resigning members have expressed gratitude for the support of those who collaborated with them, emphasizing the "honest and selfless" work carried out by their team in the municipality.
Both team leaders have announced their resignation as Vox members and state that they will continue their activities outside the party, "with the same resolve and commitment, but with total independence."
