Consum has confirmed a 400 million euro investment for its new logistics center in Aldaia, with an anticipated opening in 2029, solidifying its presence in the Pont dels Cavalls business park.

The Valencian cooperative, which had already acquired a 400,000 square meter plot in 2022, has now detailed the economic volume and timeline for this project. The facility, spanning approximately 100,000 square meters, is positioned as one of the company's main logistics hubs in the Valencian Community and a fundamental pillar for sustaining its growth in the coming years.
This project is part of a broader strategy for the expansion and modernization of Consum's logistics network. In recent years, the operational area has exceeded 213,000 square meters, with an intensification of process automation. The company has incorporated robotic systems and technological solutions to improve efficiency in order fulfillment, stock management, and distribution to stores, adapting to sector evolution. This technological leap is reflected in its new platforms, designed to optimize times, reduce operational costs, and increase responsiveness to rising demand.
The Aldaia project is also moving forward in a new urban planning scenario, after the City Council withdrew the UTE Parque Empresarial Aldaya as the urbanizing agent for the sector. This decision ends an indirect management model in force since 2005. From now on, the development of the area will be carried out through direct management by the landowners, via HYC Urban Aldaia, which controls more than 70% of the land. According to the council, this change does not alter the approved planning, which was already validated last summer after its adaptation to environmental and urban regulations, and allows the business park to continue under a model more aligned with the current situation.
The future Aldaia platform joins other recent investments by the cooperative in different territories. In 2025, construction began on a new logistics complex in Noblejas (Toledo), covering about 70,000 square meters, which will integrate food and non-food areas, including fresh, refrigerated, and frozen products, and will feature an automated silo 40 meters high, capable of serving 91 stores in Castilla-La Mancha. Additionally, Consum has strengthened its presence in Catalonia with the expansion of its fruit and meat central in the Zona Franca, incorporating a new 2,400 square meter area that allows for unified temperature management and improved productivity, as well as launching a photovoltaic installation that reduces energy consumption by approximately 18%.
The logistics strategy has also been reflected in the Region of Murcia, where the cooperative has put into operation a highly automated platform specializing in low-turnover products. This center operates with 60 robots dedicated to merchandise storage and retrieval, manages over 3,000 references, and exceeds 27,000 bins, achieving an average productivity of 30,000 packages daily and with the capacity to reach 55,000.
