The Civil Guard maintains an open investigation to locate three men who perpetrated an armed robbery at a bank branch in Benetússer, gaining access with a break-in and detaining cleaning staff.

The assault occurred early this morning at an office located at number 65 of Camí Nou de Benetússer, before public opening hours. The perpetrators managed to escape after taking part of the entity's money.
The thieves gained access to the branch's interior through a 'butrón' (hole in the wall), a method suggesting prior preparation and knowledge of the building's structure. The speed with which they acted allowed them to reach the safe and steal part of the money in just a few minutes, indicating a detailed planning of the heist.
The situation became complicated when the cleaning staff entered the branch to start their workday and encountered the assailants. The robbers tied them up to prevent them from alerting security forces. Although no injuries were reported, the employees later received attention for anxiety attacks.
The three suspects managed to leave the scene shortly before the arrival of the first patrols from the Civil Guard and the Local Police. Since then, an operation has been launched to identify and locate the perpetrators, who remain at large. Agents from the Civil Guard's Scientific Police, dispatched from the Alfafar barracks, are conducting a visual inspection of the branch in search of evidence.
