Alfafar has hosted an important meeting between the Minister of Emergencies and Interior, Juan Carlos Valderrama, and the heads of local police forces in l'Horta Sud, aiming to strengthen public security and improve police training in the region.

During the session, Minister Valderrama presented the training program promoted by the Ministry of Emergencies and Interior for 2026. The minister highlighted the role of the Valencian Institute of Public Security and Emergencies (IVASPE) in decentralizing training, which for the first time will reach all three Valencian provinces through up to 38 course editions. For his part, the mayor of Alfafar, Juan Ramón Adsuara, emphasized the coordination between administrations and police forces to improve citizen security.
Adsuara explained that the meeting addressed key issues for the municipalities of l'Horta Sud, such as increasing police staff, expanding video surveillance systems, reinforcing attention to victims of gender violence, and promoting community policing. He particularly stressed the need to focus on prevention.

"We must promote campaigns that not only react to problems but anticipate them, with more controls, presence in neighborhoods, and collaboration with educational centers to train young people in security matters."

The presented training offer includes specialized courses in areas such as citizen assistance, conflict management, violence against women, road safety, or intervention in complex situations, in addition to transversal training in fields such as drone use or emergency management. The objective is to consolidate a police model close to the citizenry.

"We want a police force that is on the streets, that protects, serves, and helps citizens."
