Speaking to the media after a meeting with economic and social agents, Pérez Llorca responded to criticism from PSPV and Compromís spokespersons in Les Corts, who had reported a reduction in civil servants in this court. According to the president, information about a supposed withdrawal of four civil servants from June 30, leaving only one judicial assistant, does not correspond to reality.
“"No se le han quitado medios al juzgado de Catarroja, no es cierto."
The head of the Consell explained that the situation is due to a change from temporary to permanent staff. Support civil servant positions were occupied by temporary staff and will now be covered by permanent staff, as a result of an agreement between the Ministry of Justice and social entities. This process has created an "impasse" between the departure of temporary staff and the arrival of new permanent civil servants.
Regarding the continuity of staff who were already working on the case, Pérez Llorca admitted not knowing the specific employment situation of each person, but stressed the need to comply with the legal deadlines for temporary contracts. He reiterated that the Catarroja court has always had all the requested resources, as the DANA investigation is considered "very important".
“"Yo muchas veces he pedido mucha celeridad y tengo mucho interés en que esto se resuelva cuanto antes, como cualquier otro valenciano o valenciana yo creo que lo importante es que esos medios los van a seguir teniendo."
