The Spanish Government will allocate over 40 million euros to the reconstruction of municipal infrastructures in Benetússer, as announced by Minister Diana Morant, with actions including the rehabilitation of the swimming pool and police facilities.
The Minister of Science and Secretary General of the PSPV-PSOE, Diana Morant, has emphasized the strong commitment of the Spanish Government to the recovery of towns affected by the DANA. During her visit to Benetússer, Morant highlighted that the total investment for the reconstruction of municipal infrastructures will exceed 40 million euros.
Among the most significant actions, the minister mentioned the rehabilitation of sports infrastructures, including the municipal swimming pool, expected to reopen this summer, and intervention in police facilities. These works amount to an investment of 4.5 million euros.
“
"We, the Government of Spain, are not going to say that this ends in June. We will finish when the last public service, the last street, and the last infrastructure are fully recovered."
Morant also praised the work of the Benetússer City Council, led by Mayor Eva Sanz, describing it as an "example of good management and commitment to its people" for the speed with which it identified needs and activated recovery projects.
“
"For Benetússer, it is an honor to receive a minister from the Government of Spain who is helping so much in the reconstruction of the municipality. Her presence is important to thank her for that effort and closeness that Morant has shown since the first day after the flood with Benetússer, but also to make visible all the reconstruction work that we, the city councils, are doing."
The total investment from the Spanish Government amounts to over 240 million euros if direct aid, compensation, and the reconstruction of assets managed through the Insurance Compensation Consortium are included, reaffirming the commitment not to abandon affected municipalities until their complete recovery.
