This new resource, fully promoted by the Ministry, will have capacity for 40 elderly people or those in a situation of dependency. It will offer specialized daytime care, with the aim of fostering personal autonomy and the permanence of users in their usual environment.
“"This resource is an example of the Council's commitment to close and quality care, which places people at the center of public socio-health policies."
The works on this infrastructure, which are financed with European funds, are in an advanced state and are expected to be completed this summer. After the equipment and administrative authorization process, the center will become operational throughout 2027.
The Ministry has highlighted that it is a modern and functional infrastructure, designed to respond to the current and future needs of the population, with accessible and adapted spaces. The new day center in Rafelbunyol is integrated into the socio-health infrastructure plan promoted by the Generalitat.
This plan contemplates the completion throughout 2026 of 24 new resources for elderly people and people with disabilities throughout the Valencian Community. The Ministry of Social Services, Family and Childhood has allocated more than 132 million euros to these projects, which will allow the creation of 1,800 new public places.
