Rafelbunyol recorded 433 unemployed individuals in March 2026, the lowest figure since 2007, consolidating a positive trend in the local labor market and exceeding 10,200 inhabitants.

This decrease in unemployment, which places the rate below 9% (specifically at 8.46%), occurs in a context of significant demographic growth in the municipality. The improvement is notable when compared to May 2015, when the town had 820 unemployed individuals, representing a reduction of 387 people over a decade.

"Today Rafelbunyol is a town with more opportunities, more economic activity, and more people working than ever. We have gone from over 800 unemployed people to just over 400, and that is no coincidence; it is the result of many years of serious work, planning, and commitment to our town."

Fran López · Mayor of Rafelbunyol
Furthermore, the municipality achieved a historic high in Social Security affiliations in February 2026, with 4,343 affiliated individuals, reflecting its economic dynamism and job creation capacity. Rafelbunyol has established itself as an industrial benchmark in the north of the region, thanks to its well-connected industrial park.

"We are seeing the results of a clear commitment to active employment policies, training, and support for the local business fabric. Behind every figure are people who today have more opportunities."

Sandra Arnedo · Councillor for Employment, Training, and Economic Promotion
The industrial sector has been key to this success, with a 7.2% decrease in the number of job seekers in just one year, surpassing other nearby municipalities. This growth has primarily benefited the 25 to 44 age group, strengthening the base of young and skilled workers in the locality.

"These data tell us that we are moving in the right direction, but they also show us the path forward: to continue generating opportunities and leave no one behind."

Fran López · Mayor of Rafelbunyol
Councillor Sandra Arnedo added that the objective is to continue strengthening programs that facilitate job placement and support those who need it most, demonstrating a structural and sustained improvement in Rafelbunyol's labor market.
