The Generalitat Valenciana has earmarked 26 million euros in the budgets for the 2026-2029 period for the construction of the new Advanced Health Campus in Paterna, a project that will improve care for approximately 40,000 residents.

The construction of the future Advanced Health Campus in Paterna receives a new boost with the inclusion of a multi-year investment of 26 million euros in the Generalitat Valenciana's budgets for the 2026-2029 period. This budgetary allocation represents a significant step forward for one of the city's most important healthcare projects, shortly after the Paterna City Council approved the definitive transfer of the municipal plot where this infrastructure will be built.
The mayor of Paterna, Juan Antonio Sagredo, has positively assessed this step, highlighting that “the inclusion of this investment in the regional budgets demonstrates that the project continues to advance and that the different administrations are fulfilling the commitments made to bring this much-needed healthcare infrastructure to our citizens”.
The investment planned by the Generalitat will be distributed with 1 million euros in 2026, 5 million in 2027, 10 million in 2028, and another 10 million in 2029, totaling 26 million for the development of this strategic facility. The City Council has driven all necessary procedures, culminating in the approval of the land transfer.
The healthcare complex will be located on a municipal plot of nearly 15,000 square meters in the Santa Rita neighborhood and will feature over 14,500 square meters of built space spread across three floors. With an estimated global investment of 75.3 million euros, the Campus will integrate a health center and an advanced healthcare center to improve coordination between primary and specialized care.
Among the planned services are consultations for family medicine and pediatrics, women's health, preventive dentistry, rehabilitation, a day hospital, day surgery, and a specialized breast cancer unit. It will also include an emergency service equipped with diagnostic imaging technology, such as CT scans and MRI.
The project also includes spaces for training, multipurpose classrooms, a gym, garden areas, and over 250 parking spaces, incorporating criteria for energy efficiency and healthcare innovation. This infrastructure is expected to serve an approximate population of 40,000 people, strengthening the healthcare network and alleviating pressure on other nearby health centers.

"We are talking about a transformative infrastructure for the city that will allow us to continue improving the quality of life for our citizens and will consolidate Paterna as a benchmark in public services, innovation, and healthcare."
