The Third Vice-Presidency and Ministry of Environment, Infrastructure, Territory and Recovery has announced the planning of a new shuttle service to link the Metrovalencia tram line with Paterna Technology Park, seeking alternatives to private vehicle use.

This action, along with other measures being progressively implemented in this business area, was discussed during a meeting with representatives from the Management and Modernization Entity (EGM) Parc Tecnològic Paterna, Mas Camarena, and Heron City. The main objective is to alleviate congestion at the park's access points.
Representing the Generalitat were the third vice-president and minister of Environment, Infrastructure, Territory and Recovery, Vicente Martínez Mus, the general director of Terrestrial Infrastructures, María José Martínez Ruzafa, and the general director of Transport and Logistics, Manuel Ríos.
During the meeting, the current situation of Paterna Technology Park was analyzed. It experiences high daily travel demand and a strong reliance on private vehicles, used by nine out of ten workers, leading to saturation problems at access points and a significant deficit of parking spaces.
The implementation of this new shuttle service complements other measures already executed this legislature. Among the short-term actions, the L144 València-Parc Tecnològic shuttle bus service stands out, having increased from 11 to 48 daily expeditions, a 336% rise, serving over 90,000 passengers daily. Additionally, frequencies for the Metrobús line 130 have increased by 30% on weekdays, aiming to serve 28,779 travelers annually.
To encourage carpooling, specific applications are being reinforced, and parking benefits are being offered. Sustainable mobility initiatives are also being promoted, such as the implementation of a shared electric scooter service within the park, specifically for internal travel.
In the medium-term roadmap to improve accessibility, the Generalitat is studying the creation of a bus-VAO or reversible lane at the main access points. This aims to prioritize collective transport and promote shared vehicle use, thereby helping to reduce traffic volume during peak hours.
Finally, within the long-term planning framework, structural actions are contemplated to definitively improve the park's connectivity. These include the development of high-capacity transport systems, such as a BRT-type model, or the extension of tram line 4 to the Technology Park.
