After a successful run on Navarrese stages, the play returns to its Valencian origins to demonstrate that culture can be a therapeutic experience. This musical is the first production by Prexcribe Arts Productions, an entity founded by a doctor and an educator, who discovered the transformative power of scenic improvisation in 2018.
The mission of this production company is to validate the stance of the World Health Organization (WHO), which recognizes art as a salutogenic tool capable of improving people's well-being. Under the musical direction of one of the founders, the play narrates the creative crisis of John, leader of the Metamorfosis group, who seeks Kala's guidance to recover the essence of his formation.
“"The essence is in small bottles."
The musical proposal moves away from conventions, offering a sound journey that ranges from vibrant pop in the style of ABBA to the complexity of classical madrigals and barbershop. A vocal quartet and a piano and percussion base are enough to fill the stage with exceptional melodic richness.
Kala's commitment goes beyond the show, as the musical incorporates a charity 'Fila Cero'. The proceeds from this initiative will be allocated to a pioneering research project by the Osatzen group, which seeks to generate scientific evidence on how Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) can help women with fibromyalgia and chronic pain.
Prexcribe Arts actively works to integrate "artistic prescription" into the public health system, conducting workshops in hospitals and educational centers. With this return to Valencia, the production company offers a high-quality family show and invites reflection on art as an indispensable ally in personal and collective care.
