Hundreds of people gathered in Burjassot last Saturday, April 11, to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the death of Guillem Agulló i Salvador, in a mobilization organized by the Associació Cultural Bassot.

The Muixeranga once again took to the streets of Burjassot in honor of its neighbor Guillem Agulló i Salvador. This year, the events in his memory, organized by the Associació Cultural Bassot with the collaboration of various anti-fascist groups, bore the slogan “For you and for all, the struggle continues. 33 years without you. You will not have left in vain, Guillem”.
At dusk, at the doors of the Burjassot Town Hall, where a banner with the inscription “Guillem, your struggle in our hands” was displayed, hundreds of people gathered to shout “no to fascism,” “no to intolerance,” and “for a land for everyone.” There, the organization read a protest manifesto, and then a multicolored march paraded through the streets to the Bassot facilities.
In addition to the demonstration, hours earlier, during the morning and afternoon at Ca Bassot, the tribute to Guillem Agulló included the presentation of the book L’assassinat de Guillem: mentides, feixistes i togues (The Assassination of Guillem: Lies, Fascists, and Robes), by sociologist Rafa Xambó, and the talk “Guillem’s Struggles Today”.
