The award for architectural and engineering services marks the preliminary step before the tender for the construction of the future healthcare facility, which falls under the València Clínic-Malvarrosa health department. The contract sets a nine-month deadline for the project's formal drafting, after which, upon approval, the construction tender will commence, with an estimated execution period of 24 months.
The new health center will be located on a plot of over 1,100 square meters on Carrer Garrigosa, ceded by the Meliana City Council. The planned building, exceeding 2,000 square meters, will significantly increase the healthcare capacity and technological resources compared to current primary care facilities.
This investment addresses the demographic growth in Meliana, ensuring healthcare needs are met for the more than 11,000 citizens registered in this health zone. The service portfolio will include seven Family Medicine consultations, two for Pediatrics, a Women's Health area, common services such as extractions and rehabilitation, and an administrative area.
Additionally, the center will be equipped with advanced technical equipment for Primary Care, such as ultrasound and retinal imaging devices, to enhance the diagnostic and resolution capabilities of medical professionals within the municipality.
