The public company ISTEC (Infrastructures and Telecommunications and Certification Services), under the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Public Administration, continues to consolidate its role as a technological benchmark in the management of critical communications during high-attendance events in the Valencian Community.
Thus, for the V Rafelbunyol Social Race, held on May 9, ISTEC has launched a special operation to reinforce the COMDES network, providing state-of-the-art communication terminals and on-site technical support to security, emergency, and civil protection teams.
The public telecommunications infrastructure operator of the Generalitat is also scheduled to reinforce the network for the Xilxes triathlon on May 10, as well as for the Piles patron saint festivities from May 12 to 24.
“"The priority is to ensure that professionals who safeguard citizen security have uninterrupted and resilient communications, especially in environments with high concentrations of people, where commercial networks can become saturated."
This service of temporary equipment loan and technical assistance allows operational fleets to handle complex security devices without the need for permanent investments, ensuring secure, reliable, and adapted communications at all times for each scenario.
This action is part of the usual functions of management, maintenance, and evolution of the COMDES network —the Generalitat's digital mobile communications network for emergencies and security—, as well as continuous collaboration with various organizations that require specific reinforcements in special situations, mass events, or temporary increases in activity.
Beyond the supply of terminals, ISTEC's added value lies in the personalized configuration of communication groups and direct technical assistance during the event's development, ensuring effective coordination among all involved parties. With these initiatives, the Generalitat reaffirms its commitment to strengthening public services and continuously improving the communication capabilities of emergency teams in the Valencian Community.
