La Patacona beach in Alboraya hosted an adaptive surfing day where sixteen families with children and young people with special needs enjoyed an inclusive and therapeutic experience.

The initiative allowed participants to discover a new way of interacting with the sea. "It's very entertaining and beneficial for them," explains Raul, cousin of Martina, one of the children participating in the aquatic activity.
For many attendees, it was their first time on a surfboard. Families highlight that each time in the water helps them gain confidence and face new challenges with greater security.
Instructors from the Mediterranean Surf school adapted the exercises to each participant's needs, ensuring safe practice. The day, aimed at children and young people aged 3 to 24, combined surfing, paddleboarding, games, and therapy.
The main objective, emphasized by the organizers, is not athletic performance but fostering autonomy, mobility, and social skills. The aim is for the sea to become a space for integration and personal achievement.
