Among the proposals are storytelling sessions, workshops, solidarity markets, book presentations, and reading parties. These initiatives will be carried out in different city neighborhoods, expanding the usual cultural offerings of municipal spaces.
On April 23, activities will focus on children, with storytelling at the Grau-Constantí Llombart, Lluís Fullana i Mira-Tres Forques, and Benicalap Libraries. Additionally, there will be solidarity markets at the Cabanyal - el Canyamelar - Casa de la Reina Library and the Mercat Central de València, starting at 09:00 hours.
Reading parties will be held at the Trinitat - Vivers Library and the Mercat Central de València, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours. The special program will extend throughout the month of April in various municipal libraries, often requiring prior registration.
“"These are different reading promotion proposals that complement the usual cultural offerings of these municipal spaces, whose function goes beyond lending books. These libraries act as meeting points, permanent learning centers, and social revitalization hubs in the neighborhoods."
The municipal official emphasized that the municipal libraries are strengthening their cultural program around reading with a decentralized offer open to citizens, highlighting their role as centers for continuous learning and community engagement in the neighborhoods.
