The entity's assembly, held this weekend, approved the work plan for the 2026-2028 academic years with a new executive that reaffirms its commitment to working for public education. The new president comes from a center affected by the DANA in October 2024.
The new executive is very combative with the Ministry of Education and offers a very critical assessment of the educational policies of the department's head. They believe that current policies are based on dismantling public education in favor of private-subsidized education, which is causing great unrest in the educational community.
“"There are many problems and deficiencies to address: school transport, infrastructure affected or not by the DANA, the lack of teachers or difficulties in educational programs, and the salary improvement of teachers."
At the same time, Fampa advocates for the continuity and improvement of positive measures such as the reduction of student-teacher ratios, education in Valencian, study aid, and free education for the 0-3 year age group. The previous executive, led by a spokesperson, left office after six years of presidency and was bid farewell with strong applause.
