Four Metrovalència lines, 3, 5, 7, and 9, experienced significant delays today, April 16, 2026, due to a service interruption caused by a technical fault, coinciding with the first day of a driver strike.

The service interruption, which lasted approximately one hour, occurred around 7:00 AM between the Alboraia, Peris-Aragó, and Albereda stations. Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGV) reported the incident, which affected thousands of commuters at the start of the day.
This fault coincided with the first of five strike days called by the Semaf trade union sections of FGV for this April. The upcoming strike days are scheduled for April 21, 23, 28, and 30.
During the strike days, minimum services are set at 75% across three time slots: from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Outside these intervals, trains and trams will operate on their usual schedules and frequencies.
