The man's family reported his disappearance on April 28 at half past ten in the morning, after he did not return home. His wife provided key information about his appearance and medical needs, which activated the search protocol in the Millares area.
Agents of the Benemérita obtained testimonies from a forest brigade member and a relative who had last seen the man around noon, heading towards the town's ravine area. This area is known for its difficult access, with ravines, caves, and uneven terrain.
Given the complexity of the terrain, a large search operation was deployed, involving patrols from the Civil Guard of the Requena Company, the Civil Guard Air Unit, three units of Firefighters from the Generalitat Valenciana, and two Forest Brigades from the consortium.
Finally, around a quarter past eight in the evening, the Civil Guard helicopter spotted the man. After landing in the area, the personnel were able to pick him up and confirm that he was in optimal health, ending ten hours of uncertainty.
