The Municipal Group of Vox in the Valencia City Council has confirmed that it will implement "national priority" in the distribution of aid from its departments, a measure that has prompted a response from the Popular Party.

Vox spokesperson, José Gosálbez, announced this decision shortly before the April plenary session, emphasizing that this policy is not based on hatred, but on justice. According to Gosálbez, "national priority" is comparable to family priority, where those at home are attended to before neighbors.

"It was those mothers, our mothers, who first fed their children, and if there was any left over, they would give it to the neighbor, of course. So, they were supportive of the neighbor. But first, those at home were fed. First the Spanish, obviously. First those who contribute. First those who pay taxes, whether they are Spanish or legal foreigners who have come to Spain and are accepted."

This statement implies that municipal aid managed by Vox's departments will prioritize Spanish citizens and those legal residents who contribute with their taxes.
For his part, the spokesperson for the governing team, the popular Juan Carlos Caballero, responded that the Popular Party will continue to guarantee support for Valencians in need, especially the most vulnerable. He stressed that their goal is to invest in neighborhoods and recover investments, a task that, according to him, was neglected by the previous government.
