National Police have dismantled a criminal organization allegedly dedicated to the distribution of narcotic substances in the provinces of Valencia, Alicante, and Murcia. The operation led to the arrest of 28 people and the seizure of 30 kilograms of cocaine, 12 kilograms of MDMA, and over 720,000 euros in cash.
The police investigation has successfully dismantled a criminal structure with various operational levels for drug distribution, cargo transport, and profit collection. Fourteen house searches were conducted, resulting in the seizure of five firearms, abundant ammunition, a silver ingot, and 21 vehicles, some equipped with hidden compartments.
The inquiries began based on information obtained about the illicit activities of a woman residing in Torrent. Surveillance confirmed a constant flow of visitors to her home from individuals linked to this network.
Among those investigated was a man residing in the Region of Murcia, who allegedly acted as a key partner in the network, and two alleged 'couriers' based in El Puig and Benissa (Alicante), who made rapid trips to transport shipments or collect profits.
Investigators determined that the main recipients of the substance were the suspect from Murcia and a nightlife entrepreneur, owner of several venues in Valencia. Another citizen with a high socioeconomic status and significant real estate holdings was identified as the primary cocaine supplier.
The operation culminated in 14 simultaneous searches. In addition to drugs and cash, five firearms, ammunition, and 21 vehicles were seized, several with hidden compartments for transporting money and drugs. 400,000 euros were found in one of the cars, and over 100,000 euros were discovered hidden in a motorcycle.
The arrest of the last suspects linked to the organization's leadership marks the conclusion of the operation. The 28 detainees face charges of belonging to a criminal organization, drug trafficking, illegal possession of firearms, and forgery of public documents. Six of the detainees have been remanded in provisional custody.
