The motion presented by Vox in the Torrent City Council, which sought to implement 'national priority' in access to social aid and housing, has been rejected in the municipal plenary session.

The initiative, one of the first that Vox has brought to the municipal level after promoting it in communities such as Aragon and Extremadura, advocated for prioritizing Spanish citizens over migrant populations in access to public resources and excluding irregular individuals from certain aid.
The Popular Party, Vox's governing partner in the council, voted against the proposal after its own amendments failed to pass. The PP had presented an amendment to moderate part of the original motion's content, but Vox voted against this modification, causing it to fall.

"Public resources must be primarily allocated to meet the needs of Spanish citizens."

Ultimately, with no changes incorporated into the initial text, the proposal was rejected with votes against from the PP, PSOE, Compromís, and the unattached councilor. From the PSPV, the socialist spokesperson criticized the initiative, calling it “unjust and despicable”.
The Compromís councilor described the motion as a “copy and paste” dictated by Vox's national leadership and accused the party of using immigration as a smokescreen for the municipality's real problems. The unattached councilor, a former Vox spokesperson, considered that both the motion and the PP's amendment violated legality.
