Valencian Airports Record Strong Passenger Growth in First Quarter

Alicante airport grows by 6.6% and Valencia by 4.8%, exceeding 6.4 million travelers in total.

Valencia and Alicante airports, managed by Aena, have experienced a notable increase in passenger numbers during the first quarter of this year, consolidating their recovery.

Alicante airport recorded a rebound of 6.6% in the first quarter, with a total of 3,945,150 travelers. Meanwhile, Valencia airport saw its passenger traffic grow by 4.8%, reaching 2,550,167 users in the same period, according to data published by Aena this Monday.
This increase in passenger numbers is accompanied by an increase in flight movements. The Alicante airfield operated 25,620 flights, a 6.3% increase. Valencia airport also registered an increase, with 20,268 movements, 0.9% more than the previous year.
In March alone, Alicante airport handled 1,609,368 passengers, 9.1% more than in the same month last year. International flights contributed most to this growth, with an 11.2% increase, while domestic flights decreased by 4.5%.
Valencia airport closed March with 1,007,297 passengers, representing a 4.2% increase compared to March 2025. International flight users grew by 7.3%, surpassing the 3.5% growth in domestic users. The main countries of origin for passengers at Valencia airport are Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and the Netherlands.
