The Valencia City Council has opened the application period for its Artistic Residencies program, which will select 11 creators to develop projects in the city's educational centers.

The Department of Education is promoting this initiative, which has a total budget of 33,000 euros. Each of the 11 selected residencies will receive a grant of 3,000 euros, aimed at fostering contemporary creation and involving both students and teachers as cultural producers.
The main objective of these grants is to introduce students to the concepts and methodologies of contemporary creation. It seeks direct participation with artists, facilitating collaboration between creators, students, and teachers to execute joint artistic projects. The projects will involve approximately 20 hours of work in the centers.
The initiative, which connects art and education, includes a public presentation of the process to the entire educational community. Additionally, a final meeting will be organized in a municipal space to share the experiences of the different artistic residencies.
Applications for these grants can be submitted until April 30. Interested parties must do so through the electronic headquarters of the Valencia City Council or at municipal registries, attaching the required documentation, which includes the project memory, artistic dossier, and corresponding administrative documentation.
