Lambda, the LGTBIQ+ collective for sexual, gender, and family diversity, has called for the Pride demonstration on June 20 in Valencia. Under the slogan “Pels teus drets, actua” (For your rights, act), the organization calls for resistance and visibility in response to setbacks in rights and the rise of hate speech, according to a statement detailing the planned actions.
The march will begin at the Exposició bridge at 7:30 PM and conclude at the City Hall square. This year, the central event will end without an official party, a decision motivated by the "pinkwashing attempts" of the Popular Party and in a context of "attacks" on LGTBIQ+ rights, referencing the modifications to the Valencian trans law made by the PP and Vox in May 2025.
Lambda has presented the agenda and poster for LGTBIQ+ Pride 2026, a program that seeks "reflection, activism, and democratic memory." The entity emphasizes the urgency of mobilizing to defend hard-won rights against the rise of hate speech and fascism.
The schedule of activities, which began in early June, includes an informational meeting this Thursday at Lambda's headquarters for volunteers. On Friday, June 12, sexual health activists will share their experiences with HIV at Época Pub. On Saturday, June 13, a mixed LGTBIQ+ cultural route, on foot and by bicycle, will depart from the Serrans Towers.
On Sunday, June 14, the documentary Stonewall Uprising will be screened in a cineforum at Lambda's headquarters. The following week, on Wednesday, June 17, activists from Lambda, Dracs, Samarucs, and Chrysallis will participate in an event at the Spanish government delegation in Valencia. Finally, on Friday, June 19, the book Calles y cadenas by Sergio Esteban Arias Arango will be presented, accompanied by Lambda activist Siento Marco.
The poster for Valencia Pride 2026 is the result of a collaboration with the València School of Art and Design (EASD). The winner of the poster contest is Enrique Veres Climent, who has captured with "visual strength" the call to action to defend the collective's rights.
