The Mobility Service of the Valencia City Council has today opened a new cycle-pedestrian bridge connecting the Creu Coberta and Malilla neighborhoods, replacing the old one to facilitate passage during Adif's Access Canal works.

Due to the ongoing works on Adif's Access Canal, the Mobility Service of the Valencia City Council has removed, starting this Monday, June 8, the cycle-pedestrian walkway on Pianista Empar Iturbi street. This has been replaced by a new bridge connecting Almudaina street (in the Creu Coberta neighborhood) and Oltà street (in the Malilla neighborhood).
The distance between the old and new walkway is approximately 150 meters and will serve as a temporary crossing over the tracks while the tunneling works are completed. This new bridge ensures the continuity of the connection between the Malilla and Creu Coberta neighborhoods for both pedestrians and cyclists or users of personal mobility vehicles (PMVs).
The Adif access canal works, which for over a year have restricted traffic on the northern service road of Fernando Abril Martorell avenue, including its bike lane, are now reaching the intersection with carrera de Malilla.
For two and a half months, only one traffic lane will be available for entering the Malilla neighborhood from the southern boulevard. Exit, however, must be made via Oltà street, Illa Cabrera street, or Illa Formentera street towards the Moli de la Fonteta road or towards Ausiàs March avenue to reconnect with the southern boulevard.
