The Valencia City Council has officially launched the summer season on its coastline with the approval of the regulations for the traditional summer market on the Cabanyal beach promenade.

The Local Government Board has authorized the installation of 81 sales modules, which will become a key commercial and tourist hub from June 1st to September 30th. Successful applicants can begin assembling their 3x3 meter structures on May 30th.
The regulations stipulate that the area must be completely cleared by October 2nd. The comprehensive management, including rental, assembly, and disassembly, will be the responsibility of the authorized vendors. To balance economic activity with residents' right to rest, specific operating hours have been set: Monday to Thursday, from 11:00 to 23:00, and Friday to Sunday, from 11:00 to 23:59.
The commercial offerings will be strictly related to the maritime environment and handicrafts. Permitted items include crafts and accessories (leather goods, jewelry, ceramics, wood, and souvenirs), beach equipment (hats, flip-flops, towels, balls, floats, armbands, hammocks, and approved CE-marked sunglasses), and textiles (swimsuits, bikinis, and sarongs). Conversely, the sale of non-summer clothing or footwear is expressly prohibited, as are services such as tattoos, piercings, hair braiding, or caricatures.
Those interested in applying for one of the 81 available spots have 10 working days to submit their application, starting from the publication of the regulations on the municipal bulletin board and website. Basic requirements include being up-to-date with payments to Social Security and the Municipal Treasury, and for non-EU applicants, holding valid self-employment residence and work permits.
