The VCV and Tuawa by Global Omnium are organizing the 4th edition of 'Pedal for the Planet' on Sunday, April 26, in Valencia's Turia Garden, a family cycling event to foster sustainability and sport.
This event, coinciding with International Mother Earth Day week, moves its central hub to the vicinity of the Palau de la Música. From there, starting at 10:30 AM, a 10-kilometer circular route will begin and end, accessible to all ages and designed for family enjoyment.
Under the motto of promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, 'Pedal for the Planet' is consolidating itself as one of the most anticipated family events on the calendar, combining sport, environmental awareness, and leisure. In the same area of the Palau de la Música, a Fan Zone will be set up where the youngest members of the family can enjoy workshops, games, and activities.
The day will kick off at 10:00 AM, when registered participants can collect their free 'cyclist kit'. This will include gifts thanks to the collaboration of brands such as Teika, X-Sauce, VCV, Horno Iborra de Mareny de Barraquetes, AVACU, or Unión de Consumidores, in addition to a reusable sustainable water bottle from Tuawa.
From 11:00 AM, the cycling march will begin, traversing the cycling path of the Turia River bed on a circular itinerary designed for both children and adults to enjoy in a safe and festive atmosphere. The route will start from the Palau de la Música towards the Puente de las Glorias Valencianas (Nuevo Centro), turn around towards the Puente de Monteolivete, and return to the Palau, where the finish line arch is located. Upon completion, attendees will be greeted with musical entertainment by Xaranga’n Roll, as well as a live performance by the K-Pop group Mundo Mágico.
Beyond the cycling route, 'Pedal for the Planet' will offer a comprehensive program of sustainable activities in the Palau de la Música area, including children's workshops and games, environmental awareness activities, and entertainment spaces. There will also be a raffle for 5 official VCV jerseys, a child's bicycle, and a batch of X-Sauce bicycle products among registered participants.

"The VCV is one of the most sustainable cycling competitions in Spain and Europe. That is the message we convey to society with a family event like Pedal for the Planet. People are increasingly committed to protecting the environment."
'Pedal for the Planet' reflects the commitment of Tuawa by Global Omnium to sustainability, promoting filtered water consumption and reducing plastic use. Former professional cyclists such as Ángel Casero, winner of the Vuelta a España in 2001; the former Valencian cyclist Marta Romeu, and the director of VCV Féminas, Silvia Tirado, will participate in the event.

"Valencian society always responds to these types of events. It is a good opportunity to enjoy a privileged environment in Valencia, such as the green lung of our Turia garden. The important thing is that the little ones at home enjoy themselves with their families and learn to respect the environment."
Participation in 'Pedal for the Planet' is free and open, with prior registration through the official website.
