The Councillor for Tourism, Paula Llobet, announced that forecasts for the event, taking place this Sunday, April 19, improve upon 2025 figures and could increase with last-minute bookings. Llobet highlighted that in the last two years, occupancy has seen increases of up to 10 percentage points during the final week, allowing for anticipation of a potential improvement on current figures as the event date approaches.
The average price per room per night stands at 179 euros, a figure higher than 154 euros in 2025 and very similar to the 177 euros in 2024. These data confirm a trend of recovery in the destination's value, with rates returning to good levels, as explained by the councillor, framing these results within a positive start to the year in terms of hotel occupancy.
During the first quarter of 2026, hotel occupancy reached 72.7%, an increase of 2.3 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Five-star accommodations particularly stand out with a 6-point growth, and the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències leads by zone with a 5% increase. Profitability saw an average daily price of 112.35 euros, up 2.6% from the first quarter of 2025.
“"These first-quarter data allow us to speak of a recovery compared to last year, when some markets were still affected by the DANA during these months. Today we see how demand is returning to normal behavior and reinforces the positive trend of the destination."
Additionally, sales of tourist services in the online store and at the Visit València Foundation's tourist offices have grown by 11% compared to the same period last year, demonstrating recovery and its positive effect on the city's business fabric.
During Holy Week, the city achieved an average occupancy of 96% on Holy Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, significantly exceeding initial forecasts of 75%. This data consolidates the positive trend of recent years, with occupancies of 94.5% in 2025, 94.4% in 2024, and 94.1% in 2023. The councillor concluded that, despite moderate initial forecasts, occupancy was excellent, thanks to good weather and the cultural and gastronomic offerings, which position Valencia as an attractive destination year-round.
