The National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts 'González Martí', under the Ministry of Culture, will open its doors for free to all visitors from June 9 to September 9, 2026, inclusive. This initiative aims to facilitate public access to the collections during the facade intervention period.
The measure is being taken due to the start of restoration work on the alabaster facade of the emblematic Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas and the installation of protection systems on the facades. These actions will result in the main facade being temporarily hidden. Museum access will be through the provisional entrance located at Poeta Querol street, 2.
Despite the exterior works, the museum will maintain its usual activities, offering access to its permanent exhibition and temporary programming. Among the latter, the exhibition 'La Festa Grossa. El Corpus en el Museu', commemorating 700 years of this Valencian celebration with over a hundred pieces from the institution's collections, stands out.
