This initiative, promoted by the Department of Participation, Neighborhood Action and Hamlets, will distribute the funds among the ten Municipal District Boards. Each entity can apply for up to 4,000 euros to carry out its project.
These subsidies, approved by the Local Government Board on April 2, are aimed at non-profit associations and entities registered in the Municipal Register of Citizen Entities of the City Council and working in the city. The deadline for submitting applications will be from April 14 to May 11, 2026, and processing must be done electronically through the municipal electronic headquarters.
The call includes two types of projects: initiatives to improve neighborhood participation, create meeting spaces, strengthen the work of associations and foster collaboration between entities; and studies, publications, audiovisual projects or technological initiatives related to citizen participation and the associative movement.
Activities that can be financed include the organization of workshops, forums and meetings, the creation of networks between associations, internal training, the preparation of informative materials or the carrying out of studies on citizen participation.
The initial distribution of economic aid for each of the district boards is as follows: Ciutat Vella, 41,373 euros; Marítim, 57,310 euros; Abastos, 44,223 euros; Exposició, 29,063 euros; Russafa, 45,648 euros; Pobles del Nord, 10,665 euros; Patraix, 35,024 euros; Benimàmet-Beniferri, 10,405 euros; Trànsits, 48,110 euros; and Pobles del Sud, 18,180 euros.
To access these grants, entities must achieve a minimum score of 50 points. Aspects such as the entity's trajectory, its work in the neighborhood or district, the quality of the project, its social impact, innovation and the ability to reach more people will be valued. The City Council will advance up to 75% of the granted aid once the call is resolved, and the rest will be paid after the correct justification of expenses.
