Officers of the National Police have carried out a successful operation in Valencia, culminating in the dismantling of two criminal organizations dedicated to home invasions. The police action, which intensified during the Holy Week holiday period, has led to the arrest of eight individuals, aged between 27 and 40, who are implicated in a total of 13 burglaries. All detainees have been sent to provisional prison.
The first intervention occurred on Good Friday in the Patraix district, thanks to a neighbor's alert to CIMACC 091 after hearing suspicious noises in a home. Officers from the Immediate Criminality Response Group (GRIC) intercepted three men inside the dwelling and a fourth who was on lookout duty outside. Subsequently, a fifth accomplice was arrested at their rented residence. The investigation, led by the Robbery Group of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade, linked the detainees to nine burglaries, five completed and four attempted.
During the search of the residence used by the arrested individuals, numerous jewels, prestigious brand accessories, electronic devices such as computers and tablets, and specialized tools for committing burglaries were confiscated. The second operation took place on Easter Monday morning, also thanks to citizen cooperation. A neighbor alerted the police about three individuals entering an adjacent home. Officers from the Operational Response Group (GOR) of Patraix arrested two suspects as they attempted to flee and a third hidden on the building's rooftop.
At the time of their arrest, jewels, cash, tools used in the commission of the robbery—such as lock picks and spadillas—and socks used as gloves were seized. These three detainees are implicated in four burglaries, two completed and two attempted, including one in the town of Sueca (Valencia), where they accessed a home with a minor inside. All arrested individuals, of Georgian origin, have been remanded in provisional prison. The Provincial Judicial Police Brigade of Valencia continues to work on returning the recovered items to their rightful owners.
Check that doors are locked to prevent burglars from gaining access using the 'slip' method. Immediately call 091 if you notice suspicious individuals inside or near a home, especially if they are tampering with doorbells, intercoms, or locks.
