The Civil Guard has dismantled three clandestine aesthetic clinics operating in homes in Valencia, Alicante, and Tarragona, where Botox treatments were offered without health guarantees or professional qualifications at prices significantly lower than the regulated market.

The operation, named 'Zlata', has allowed the dismantling of a network that operated in the provinces of Tarragona, Valencia, and Alicante. These clinics offered botulinum toxin (Botox) treatments starting from 150 euros, a figure significantly lower than the 600 euros these procedures cost in the legal market with all guarantees.
So far, one person has been arrested and three others are under investigation in connection with this illicit activity. Agents have also dismantled a storage center in Alicante that distributed drugs without medical control to Spain, Lithuania, and the United Kingdom.
During the operation, the Civil Guard seized a total of 1,248 vials of Botox and 382 hyaluronic acid syringes. Civil Guard commanders detailed the results of this operation at a press conference held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
