The defense of former Minister of Justice and Interior, Salomé Pradas, has filed an appeal against the instructing judge's decision to maintain a handwriting test on a handwritten note related to the management of the DANA (depresión aislada en niveles altos).

The appeal has been filed despite Pradas herself having already admitted to being the author of the document, requesting not to undergo the test. However, the instructor has decided to maintain the summons, considering the verification of authorship necessary.
The handwritten note contains various annotations regarding the instructions that were to be conveyed to the population through the Es-Alert system. Among these are recommendations such as avoiding travel in the province of Valencia and remaining in homes.
Furthermore, the document refers to regions such as Ribera Alta, Ribera Baixa, l'Horta Sud, and Hoya de Buñol, with instructions to move away from riverbeds and "elevate" to upper floors. Notes on the mobilization of the UME (Military Emergencies Unit) are also included.
In the text, a crossed-out word —apparently "confinement"— has been replaced by the expression "staying at home".

The handwriting test does not meet the requirements of legality, relevance, and necessity.

Pradas' defense insists in the appeal that a notarial act has already been provided in which the former minister acknowledges authorship of the manuscript. For this reason, they request that the judicial decision mandating its performance be revoked.
