The socialist group in the València City Council has denounced the situation of municipal sports centers, noting that several complexes remain closed due to the current government's management.

A socialist councilor has expressed concern about the state of the city's sports centers, attributing the problem to the management of the current government team, formed by PP and Vox. According to the councilor, the local executive prioritizes public announcements over the actual opening of sports facilities.
The councilor warned that, despite repeated announcements about the launch of sports infrastructures, the reality is that several complexes remain unopened. He mentioned that, while announcements of openings are heard, facilities such as Orriols, Petxina, Abastos, or La Hípica remain closed. Furthermore, he highlighted that the Parc Central sports center is finished and ready, but has not yet been opened to the public.

"What is happening is simple to understand: many announcements, but many closed facilities. This dynamic is generating frustration among residents, who see essential public facilities remain unused."

The councilor emphasized that citizens need to be able to use their sports centers, not just more headlines. Therefore, he called for an immediate change in municipal management to address the real needs of the residents.
In this context, the socialist group has urged the local government to abandon the policy of announcements and urgently activate the facilities that remain closed. They insisted that the opening of these spaces is not only a matter of management but also of equity and access to fundamental public services, especially in those neighborhoods where these facilities fulfill an essential social and health function.
