Vanesa Soler, partner of Juanfran Pérez Llorca, will soon leave the Valencia Provincial Council, where she served as secretary to councilor Ricardo Teruel.

Vanesa Soler, partner of Juanfran Pérez Llorca, will soon leave the Valencia Provincial Council, where she served as secretary to councilor Ricardo Teruel, of the PP, since March 3rd. According to sources from the Palau de la Generalitat and the council itself, Soler will not participate in the process to permanently fill her position, which she held on a temporary service commission for six months. Her last day will be September 3rd.
The head of the Consell stated regarding his partner's decision: "I respect the professionals' decision." Soler's appointment, a permanent civil servant at the Finestrat City Council, where Pérez Llorca was mayor, sparked significant controversy just weeks after Llorca took office as President of the Generalitat.
Soler obtained her position through a temporary service commission, outranking other candidates with more seniority. The suitability report selected her based on her "experience" and "management secretary tasks," despite the role being for a C1 administrative position, with a salary of approximately 52,000 euros, a considerable increase from the 38,000 euros of her original post.
The opposition accused the appointment of "nepotism," both within the Provincial Council and the Valencian Parliament (Corts Valencianes). Pérez Llorca publicly defended the process, arguing that Soler had the same opportunities as any civil servant to transfer her job.
