A total of 6,200 people have validly participated in the Valencia City Council's lottery to obtain one of the one hundred double tickets to witness the night mascletà this Saturday, May 2.

The pyrotechnic show, which will be fired at 9:00 PM in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento on the eve of Mother's Day, can be seen by the lucky winners from the municipal balcony or the delimited area on the main facade of the City Hall.
Citizen response has been remarkable, with the first registration occurring just 44 seconds after the period opened last Monday. Although 7,473 people initially registered, 1,273 applications were discarded for not meeting requirements such as city registration or being of legal age.

"Female interest was predominant, with 3,969 women compared to 2,231 men, and among those registered, the participation of a 96-year-old person stands out."

The pyrotechnic display will be carried out by Pirotecnia Zaragozana and will last approximately six minutes. The display, predominantly aerial, will use 76.15 kilograms of pyrotechnic material distributed in 340 units and will symbolically begin with pink smoke.
This night mascletà represents the recovery of one of the displays that had to be suspended during the past Fallas due to weather alerts. With this event, the Valencia City Council resumes pyrotechnic activity in the city center, combining the tradition of gunpowder with the festive celebration of the first weekend of May.
