This new facility will provide visitor services in one of the city's most emblematic and frequented spaces. It is also expected to contribute to a better distribution of tourist flows, extending services beyond the historic center and the City of Arts and Sciences itself.
The opening of this office is considered a historic milestone for Valencia's tourism evolution, as it offers an information service to the city's second-largest tourist hub, benefiting both tourists and residents.
The agreement signing was presided over by the regional secretary of Culture, Marta Alonso, and the councilor for Tourism, Innovation, and Investment Attraction of the Valencia City Council, Paula Llobet. Representing the signatory institutions were the director general of Les Arts, Jorge Culla, and the managing director of the Visit València Foundation, Tono Franco.
The contract stipulates the cession of a space in the ticket office area of the building designed by Santiago Calatrava. The initial term will be four years, with the possibility of a four-year extension. In this space, the Visit València Foundation will establish the new tourist office, integrating it into the municipal visitor service network.
The future office will offer detailed information on the city's tourist offerings, Les Arts' cultural programming, and the various resources available within the City of Arts and Sciences. It will also feature an accessible service module for people with disabilities, reinforcing Valencia's commitment to increasingly inclusive and barrier-free tourism.
The Councilor for Tourism, Paula Llobet, highlighted that the new office "represents another step in our strategy to bring services closer to visitors and citizens themselves, wherever the city's major attraction hubs are located." She added that the goal is "to improve the experience of those who visit us, provide them with quality information from the outset, and at the same time, promote a more balanced distribution of tourist flows, valuing significant spaces like the City of Arts and Sciences and, specifically, Les Arts."
For her part, the regional secretary of Culture, Marta Alonso, emphasized the importance of synergies between administrations to strengthen the tourist and cultural excellence of the Valencian Community. "Les Arts and the Visit València Foundation are sealing a strategic alliance that will increase the visibility and projection of both entities, reinforcing Valencia's position as a top-tier cultural destination," she stated.
In addition to launching the new office, the agreement includes promotional actions for Les Arts. The Foundation will enhance the venue's presence across its communication channels to consolidate the complex's international projection.
