The former Vice President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Mónica Oltra, has publicly reappeared in València, reaffirming her commitment to politics and her intention to run for mayor of the city.

Supported by hundreds of people in the Jardín Botánico de València, Mónica Oltra has once again addressed the public. This reappearance comes almost three weeks after she announced her decision to run for mayor of València, marking her return to the political forefront.
The former Vice President, who faces a twice-reopened trial where neither the Prosecutor's Office nor the instructor see evidence of a crime, reflected on the nearly four years she spent away due to a far-right complaint. She confessed that this time helped her realize that «there is no longer life on our knees» and that «the white elites of powerful, well-off men have declared war on life».

"I asked myself: Do we surrender or do we rise up? Well, we rise up. With all the vertigo."

Oltra warned about the rise of anti-politics and the risks of suggesting that «everyone is the same,» considering it the seed of fascism. She emphasized the importance of politics for working classes and called for «building class consciousness and socialist utopia».
Her participation in the forum 'No to war, no to political violence, for an ecofeminist world,' organized by the Universitat de València, included figures such as Irene Montero, Sira Rego, and Janja da Silva. In this context, Oltra advocated for a «moral alliance» against anti-politics and proposed «democratizing justice».
