A National Police officer violently pushed a female teacher from behind during protests by teachers in front of the Ministry of Education in València, causing her to fall and hit the ground.

After three weeks of indefinite strike and numerous gatherings, a regrettable episode of violence occurred near the headquarters of the Ministry of Education in València's Campanar avenue. A National Police officer violently pushed a teacher who was standing in the street, causing her to hit the ground hard.
Valencian teachers, gathered to coincide with the ninth negotiation meeting, had staged protest actions such as a human chain around the Ministry's premises and a sit-in on the road, which was dispersed by riot police.

We are peaceful people, and they will not silence us

The unions that called for the strike, STEPV, CCOO, and UGT, have announced they will file a complaint for the assaults suffered by the protesting teaching staff. The demonstrators responded to the incidents with chants.
The Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, announced that an exhaustive investigation will be opened to determine responsibilities. Bernabé described the image as 'unacceptable' and stressed that protecting the right to protest safely 'is above any circumstance,' tarnishing the police's work during the mobilizations.
