The 2026 LGTBIQA+ Pride demonstration today paraded through the center of València, called by Lambda to defend rights against PP and Vox attacks.

The 2026 LGTBIQA+ Pride march filled the streets of València today, with a route that began at 7:30 PM from the Alameda promenade and concluded at the Town Hall Square. The event, organized by the Lambda collective, asserted the defense of LGTBIQA+ rights against what they consider suppression attempts by the People's Party (PP) and Vox.
Airto Granell, Lambda's general coordinator, explained that the march, under the slogan 'Pels teus drets, actua' (For your rights, act), aims to mobilize society to defend rights that have "cost so much effort to conquer." He highlighted that over 50 social entities supported the call, agreeing on the need to remain vigilant against the strategies of PP and Vox targeting the collective and other social movements.
Lambda had previously announced that its programming would be separate from the city council's, differentiating itself from the official municipal slogan, 'La meta que compartim' (The goal we share), linked to the Gay Games. The entity chose to focus on activism and struggle, distancing itself from the municipal government's use of this sporting event. The collective had already launched a calendar of activities since June 11th.
The construction work on Colón Street generated controversy, with the Socialist Party denouncing that it could jeopardize the Pride celebration. Despite concerns, the city council confirmed it would not pose a problem for the march's development. The demonstration, expected to conclude around 10:00 PM, will not have a post-march party due to the impossibility of reaching an agreement between the organizing entities.
