The mobilization, under the slogan “Pels teus drets, actua!” (For your rights, act!), started at 7:30 PM from the Pont de l'Exposició and proceeded through Porta de la Mar and Carrer de Colom to reach Plaça de l'Ajuntament. There, the final manifesto was read to attendees, supported by over fifty social, trade union, and associative entities.
During the march, participants advocated for the defense of rights achieved by the LGTBIAQ+ movement and warned against what they consider attempts to dismantle equality policies. Organizers emphasized the need to maintain the Pride's demanding nature and called for social mobilization in the face of rising discriminatory discourse.
This year's event was held a week before International Pride Day (June 28th) and coincided with the proximity of Gay Games XII València 2026. The relationship between the Pride organizers and the city council has been marked by disagreements regarding this international sports event, from which Lambda and several collective entities have distanced themselves.
The demonstration was also preceded by controversy over the works on Carrer de Colom. The PSPV had denounced that the construction could hinder the march, accusing the municipal government of obstructing the event. However, the City Council assured that the Local Police had inspected the route and found no impediments.
