Pérez Llorca made these statements after a visit to La Fe Hospital in València, responding to Minister España's claims about alleged private agreements with PP regional leaders who would accept the central government's funding proposal.
“"It will not be the Valencian Community. I tend to be very sincere and very transparent because I believe what I say and I believe what I do."
The president criticized that the current proposal from the Government of Spain is not a model as such, but rather "slides" promising a sum of money without specifying its origin or method. He emphasized the need for greater rigor in these matters.
Furthermore, Llorca added that all autonomous communities, except Catalonia, which he believes receives privileges, agree that the current system is not beneficial for any of them. Therefore, he insisted that Arcadi España, whom he considers a person capable of dialogue, must propose a new model, as he is aware of the widespread rejection of the existing proposal.
Regarding the underfunding of the Valencian Community, Llorca highlighted that it is a reality known to all. He proposed the creation of a transitional equalization fund as a "clear and direct gesture of goodwill" from the Government of Spain towards the Valencians, to begin receiving the money they are entitled to.
