The Orchestra of the Valencian Community (OCV) and pianist Javier Perianes are currently recording the complete Piano Concertos by Beethoven with the prestigious record label Harmonia Mundi, with Perianes taking on the dual role of playing and conducting.

This initiative revives a historical practice linked to Beethoven himself and reserved for prominent keyboard figures. The recording is part of the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the composer's death in Bonn in 2027, the year in which its commercialization is expected, as reported by the Generalitat.

The complete 'Piano Concertos' is one of the great challenges of the symphonic repertoire. More than a succession of concertos, it becomes a journey through Beethoven's spiritual and aesthetic evolution.

The pianist, who already performed and conducted this complete set in June 2025 with the OCV at the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, received unanimous acclaim for his clarity, sensitivity, and architectural vision. On that occasion, the OCV was described as the best orchestra in Spain.
Harmonia Mundi, one of the most prestigious classical music labels worldwide, includes artists such as René Jacobs, William Christie, Jordi Savall, and Pablo Heras-Casado, in addition to Perianes himself, considered an essential pianist in the programming of major international auditoriums and concert halls.
The pianist's relationship with the Orchestra of the Valencian Community began in the early years of the ensemble, with whom he has performed under the direction of renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Gustavo Gimeno, and James Gaffigan.
