International Tourists Spent 140 Euros Daily in Comunitat Valenciana in 2025

The average stay for foreign visitors was 9.2 days, with a notable increase in spending for business or sports.

International tourists visiting the Comunitat Valenciana during 2025 recorded an average daily expenditure of 140.1 euros and an average stay of 9.2 days, according to data from Turisme Comunitat Valenciana.

This figure represents a significant increase compared to the 131.4 euros of the previous year. The report, titled 'Profile of the International Tourist Visiting the Comunitat Valenciana 2025', was compiled using data from the INE's Frontur-Egatur surveys.
Daily expenditure rises considerably for business or work-related trips, reaching 188 euros with an average stay of 7.8 days. Similarly, tourists visiting the region for sports activities also show higher spending, at 176 euros daily with an average of 6.7 days. Cultural visitors spend 150 euros daily with a 7.6-day stay.
By destination, Benidorm stands out with a daily expenditure of 184.8 euros and a 6.5-day stay, while the city of València records 163.3 euros daily and 6.8 days. Regarding provinces, Alicante reaches 138.4 euros with 9.8 days, Valencia 153.7 euros with 7.3 days, and Castellón, despite having the lowest expenditure at 105 euros, boasts the longest average stay at 12.4 days.
Throughout 2025, the Comunitat Valenciana welcomed a total of 12,422,659 foreign tourists, nearly half a million more than the previous year. The United Kingdom remains the primary source market, contributing 24.3% of visitors, followed by France with 17%. The Netherlands (8.2%), Nordic countries (8.1%), and Germany (6.5%) complete the top five.
The most popular activities among international tourists include beach use (82%), shopping (68.4%), and city visits (66.8%). There is a growing interest in sports activities (13.7%) and attending cultural events (9.8%). Most tourists stay in hotels (38.6%) or rent tourist accommodation (19.4%), with 80.8% arriving via Valencian airports.
