Located in the Tetuán neighborhood, this 1,400 square meter center has become Spain's largest high-security deposit. Its 170,000-kilogram armored vault is constructed with explosive and radial-proof concrete resin, requiring 16 hours to be breached.
The project, initiated in 2021, arose from the need for secure wine storage and later incorporated safe deposit boxes. Currently, it can house 10,000 safe deposit boxes, 180,000 bottles of wine, and 1,200 artworks, monitored with fingerprint readers, facial biometrics, and smart viewers.
“"There comes a moment in your life when you discover that there are things that, while you don't need them every day, are of great value to you. Losing them will cause you greater emotional harm than any other."
The center applies strict anti-money laundering regulations, consulting Interpol lists and rejecting publicly exposed clients, such as politicians. Users must be accompanied by center staff to access their compartments, which require two security keys.
Among the items that can be stored are paintings, wills, jewelry, watches, deeds, cryptocurrencies, and patents. The center also functions as a customs warehouse for artworks acquired by foreigners in Spain. An armory service is planned for the future, but illegal, chemical, or food products are not accepted.
