The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities of the Generalitat has approved the implementation of 70 new Vocational Training (FP) cycles for the 2026/2027 academic year in the Valencian Community, aiming to adapt the educational offer to labor market needs.
This expansion represents a net increase of 19 qualifications compared to the previous year and will be fully funded with own resources, following the conclusion of European funds from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (RRM). The planning seeks to prioritize employability, rural development, and specialization in emerging technological sectors.
The province of Valencia leads this growth with 30 new implementations, followed by Alicante with over twenty cycles focused on industry and technology, and Castellón with a dozen programs linked to energy, tourism, and IT. The offer covers all training levels, from Basic FP to Intermediate and Higher Degrees in areas such as Health, Food Industries, and Marketing. Additionally, Specialization Courses in cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence, big data, smart manufacturing, and electric vehicles are gaining particular relevance.
To promote work-life balance and lifelong learning, the Generalitat has boosted the blended learning modality in strategic professional families such as IT, services, and transport. The selection of these new qualifications is the result of a consensus process with the Territorial FP Councils, involving educational centers, companies, city councils, and trade unions.
Among the most striking curricular novelties are the Intermediate Degree in Aquaculture Cultivation and specific courses such as the Mastery of Ham Cutting and Tasting or Data Management and Machine Learning Training.
