Valencia CF has commenced its pre-season on July 2nd with initial medical tests conducted on a select group of footballers.

The return to activity for Valencia CF was marked for July 2nd, the day some players began their pre-season by undergoing mandatory medical tests. Not all footballers attended on the first day; a few went to the IMED hospital during the morning. The rest of the squad will undergo these checks in the coming days, before starting on-pitch training and preparing for the new campaign.
Players such as Dimitrievski, who was called up by his national team at the end of the previous season for friendly matches, will have more rest days before joining.
The first visible face of the day was goalkeeper Cristian Rivero, who was the earliest to undergo medical tests at IMED. Also seen at the Paterna Sports City were the club's CEO of Football, Ron Gourlay, and Valencianista captain José Luis Gayà. The latter also attended IMED for his medical check-ups.
