The Dolores City Council observed a minute of silence today in memory of Marisol and her son Alberto, victims of a machista crime, and calls for a demonstration for tomorrow, Friday, at 7:00 PM.

The Dolores City Council observed a minute of silence today in memory of Marisol and her son Alberto, victims of the terrible machista crime that occurred in the municipality. The event brought together residents and municipal representatives at the doors of the town hall.
The mayor of Dolores, Joaquín Hernández, conveyed the deep consternation and grief of the entire town, stating: «Today we gather in silence, with broken hearts, to express our deepest consternation and our absolute revulsion at the terrible machista crime that occurred in our municipality.» He emphasized that «Dolores is in mourning» and conveyed the support of an entire town to the affected families.
The mayor strongly condemned the murder, calling machista violence «an intolerable scourge that destroys lives, breaks families, and wounds all of society.» He called to «say enough» to violence and to redouble efforts to eradicate it, defending the values of equality, dignity, and victim protection.
Likewise, the Dolores City Council calls on all citizens to participate tomorrow, Friday, May 22nd, at 7:00 PM, in a demonstration of rejection and condemnation of machista crimes. The march will depart from the City Council and parade through the town's streets as a sign of unity and collective commitment.
The Consistory calls on residents, associations, and collectives to participate in this act of remembrance and support for the families, as well as in defense of a society free from violence against women. The work of professionals and security forces in protecting victims is also recalled.
