The Civil Guard has arrested three men in Ademuz, a municipality in València, for stealing one ton of copper telephone cable, found in a van on April 16.

The events took place on April 16, when agents received information about the possible presence of a van containing copper cable. Thanks to citizen collaboration, a description of the suspicious vehicle was obtained, allowing for a prompt search.
Minutes later, agents intercepted a vehicle matching the description. Upon inspection, they discovered that the rear of the van was full of copper cable, totaling 1,000 kilograms. In addition to the stolen material, cutting tools and other implements necessary for the theft were also found.
The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested and charged with theft. Their modus operandi involved renting vehicles to carry out the robberies and then transporting the stolen material. This strategy made it difficult to directly link them to the incidents if the cars were detected in the robbery area.
The investigation remains open to determine the exact origin of the copper cable and to return it to its rightful owner. The corresponding proceedings were handed over to the Civil and Instruction Section of the Llíria Plaza Court number 5.
